Beat the Bitter ~ Friday Night Igloo Jam Concert!

Jan 27-Feb 2, 2019

Forget hibernating and embrace winter with the passion of Norsemen. North Liberty’s Beat the Bitter is back with a week full of activities to get you out of the house for some outdoor winter games and good cheer. Join us in the tundra of North Liberty, Iowa, for fun on the bleakest days of the year.

Sunday, January 27 – Wintry Warm UP

Friday, February 1 – Fire & Ice Friday

Friday, February 1 – Igloo Jam

Saturday, February 2 – Winter Games

Saturday, February 2 – Snuggie Crawl

All week – Affiliated Events

On February 1, the best nightlife in town will be in Penn Meadows Park. New to Beat the Bitter, the Igloo Jam presented by UICCU is a concert experience like no other.

After the family fun of Fire & Ice’s annual fireworks display, the 40′ x 80′ heated tent will transform into a winter concert venue for 21+ only.

You won’t want to miss this high-energy evening with Pop ROCKS! The Minnesota-based party band plays today’s hottest top 40 hits, throwback hip-hop, pop country, party rock and timeless classics…all while dressed head to toe as the hit-making stars.

The tent will open at 8 p.m. for 300 lucky ticket holders. Pop ROCKS will take the stage from 8:30-10:30 p.m.

Your first beer is on us, and then beer will be available for purchase. Tickets are expected to sell fast for this new addition to Beat the Bitter.

If our outdoor igloo doesn’t work out, the event will take place at the South Slope Community Center. Either way, we’ll throw one heck of a party!
