Willie Nelson debuted a new song this weekend at an Austin, Texas rally for Democratic Senatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke, and those who were unhappy with his participation in the rally, certainly won’t be happy with the song.
Wearing a Beto for Senate T-shirt, Willie ended his set with the new track “Vote ‘Em Out,” telling the crowd, “Here’s a new song we’re going to spring on y’all tonight. Take it home with you, spread it around.”
"If you don’t like who’s in there, vote ’em out / that’s what Election Day is all about,” Willie sings, “and the biggest gun we got / is called the ballot box / if you don’t like who’s in there / vote ’em out.”
