Dierks Bentley has set a plan for all his future Grand Ole Opry performances. Not only will he change up the arrangements of his hits so they sound better at the Opry House, but whenever he plays there he plans to include a cover of a classic country song in his set.
"I want it to be a thing so people know we’re going to do it, expect us to do it and aren’t surprised by it,” Dierks said. “When we play the Opry we’re going to do a classic country song. It’s just the way it is. I’ll do … whatever the current hit is and then we’ll do one that’s fun for us.”
Dierks kicked off his new tradition during his Opry House performance last week, adding a cover of the Mel Tillis/Ray Price tune “Heart Over Mind.” Dierks and his band also dressed up in suits for the show, which featured such hits as “Somewhere On A Beach,” “What Was I Thinking” and more
