As promised, Thomas Rhett just released his new single “Craving You,” featuring Maren Morris. The singer premiered the tune on “GQ” and discussed how Maren wound up on the track.
Thomas says Maren recorded a bunch of harmonies for the song about three months ago, but they weren’t sure she’d be on it until about two weeks ago. "My producer sent me a version with just me on it,” Thomas shares, “and then he sent me a version with Maren on it, and I think me and my wife and my team were just collectively like 'Wow, she adds such a crazy element to the song.'”
Thomas and Maren also performed the song live for the very first time on last night’s ACM Awards. The track is expected to be the first single from Thomas’ follow-up to 2015’s “Tangled Up,” which is due out later this year.
