Clare Dunn recently released the new single “Old Hat” which will likely touch anybody who’s lost someone important to them. Clare was inspired to write the tune after a scare with her dad that left her worried she may lose him.
“I just was sitting there and I saw his old hat on my coffee table,” she says in a new video discussing the song. “And my mom had just given it to me a couple weeks prior, and I just remember thinking, ‘What am I gonna do if I lose my dad.’”
Clare hopes the tune can bring comfort or closure to those dealing with a loss and trying to keep the memory of those close to them alive in spirit. She adds, "I hope that it's a song that makes them think of the good times with that person."
