Power couple Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick are back on screen together in “The Best You Can,” and they say the experience is “always special for us.” Sedgwick steps in as an uptight urologist whose world shifts when the reality of her older husband’s dementia sets in, while Bacon plays a smart-mouthed security guard looking to reconnect with his daughter. Their characters collide after an awkward urology appointment and thwarting a robbery, sparking what the film calls an “unconventional but deep friendship.” Sedgwick and Bacon said in a statement the story “felt incredibly honest and relatable,” making it the perfect reunion project.
