In case you missed it...
Some of the most recognized artists have more awards than they know what to do with, and for Morgan Wallen, they're starting to take up a lot of space with no signs of stopping (we'll get to that in a minute). When Spotify showed up at Morgan's house with three "Billions" plaques for 1-billion streams of his songs "I Had Some Help," "Last Night" and "Whiskey Glasses," the singer put his collection of tools to work. As the cameras rolled, he converted the three silver plaques into hubcaps for his ATV. When he was done, he said, "The only thing I will say is, I've only got three hubcaps, so...next time you come back, unannounced, maybe bring another one of the those 'Billions' plaques cuz I need another hubcap." See Morgan Wallen put his DIY skills to work below... In other "Morgan Wallen wins a lot of awards" news, he got a jump start on everyone else with this first 2025 CMA Award win. Friday he was named winner of the International Artist Achievement Award, which, according to the Academy, is "given to a U.S.-based artist who has demonstrated significant creative growth, development, and promotion of country music internationally. It recognizes an artist’s success in expanding country music’s reach and influence outside of the United States, honoring their contributions to the global country music industry." While not an actual CMA award, Morgan is up for three more legit CMA trophies: Entertainer, Male Vocalist, and Album of the Year. The 2025 CMA Awards will air live from the Bridgestone Arena Wednesday night at 8pm ET on ABC.
Hints started dropping last week that Post Malone might be showing up to his favorite football team's Thanksgiving Day game, and he's definitely going to be there. Posty was announced as the halftime performer for the November 27th game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs. "The Red Kettle Kickoff" is a Cowboys tradition for one of the largest, longest-running annual fundraisers of its kind. It launches the Salvation Army's annual Red Kettle Campaign, with this being the drive's 135th fundraiser. “I’m from Texas. I grew up a Cowboys fan and have been watching this halftime show for years," Malone said in a statement. "It’s a real honor to be part of the Red Kettle Kickoff with The Salvation Army and the Dallas Cowboys and help bring hope to so many people." With the Kansas City Chiefs in town, is it possible Taylor Swift makes an appearance? Probably not. Kickoff for the Cowboys-Chiefs game is at 4:30pm on Thursday, November 27th, airing live on CBS and Paramount+.
