  • Old Man Robs Supermarket To Get Into Prison To Help His Inmate Grandson (REAL

A 60-year-old former firefighter in Guadeloupe walked into a supermarket near the police station wearing a face covering, pointed a gun at the cashier, and demanded all the money. He also grabbed some cheese and a bottle of wine. Then he slowly walked back to his car and waited to be arrested, which was exactly what he wanted. His court-appointed lawyer explained that the man was desperate to get into prison to help his grandson, who was an inmate. He had seen his grandson during a visiting room meeting with a broken tooth after being hurt by other prisoners. The judge ruled that the man acted out of desperation and, instead of several years in prison, he must pay back the victims, get therapy, and stay away from that shopping center.
