In case you missed it...
Lifetime is taking the 2023 #1 country hit "Thank God" by Kane and Katelyn Brown, and turning it into a movie. The married couple won't be appearing in the film, though they are on board as executive producers. "Thank God: Christmas at Keller Ranch" is inspired by the hit single, and will star Arielle Kebbel and Tyler Hilton. In a statement, the Browns said, "The song 'Thank God' is so special to us. We love performing it on stage and it’s incredible how it’s connected to so many fans. We also really love Christmas and celebrating as a family. So for these two worlds to collide, we couldn’t be more excited!" The movie tells the story of a pro hockey player (Hilton) who is injured a few weeks before Christmas, and goes to Keller Ranch as part of his rehabilitation and meets an equestrian-assisted therapist/single mom played by Kebbel. No release date for the film has been set.
The class of 2026 from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill are going to remember graduation day for a long time. Not just for achieving their education goals, but because superstar Eric Church has been tapped to deliver the commencement speech. In a statement, Church said, "Being asked to be the Commencement speaker at North Carolina is one of the greatest honors I’ve ever had. Being a Tar Heel ‘born, bred, dead’ and knowing what the school has meant to me and my family, it’s surreal. To be able to be there and celebrate the future, the students at the University of North Carolina as they go onto their next journey, I’m honored to do it, and I can’t wait to see everybody there." Commencement is scheduled for May 9 at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill.
