In case you missed it...

So was last year just a passing of the baton? The 58th CMA Awards were hosted by Luke BryanPeyton Manning and Lainey Wilson. For the 59th, Lainey's flying solo. In a statement, the singer said, "I grew up watching the CMA Awards like it was the Super Bowl, so to be hosting for a second year is a true honor,” Wilson says. “I’m humbled that CMA has trusted me with this role, and I can’t wait to love on this genre that has given me so much." The CMA Awards will broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 19th from 8-11PM Eastern/Pacific on ABC and will be available the next day on Hulu.

Zach Top has nailed down the title of number-one retro country star. His 90s country sound has earned him a huge and growing following, and rather than update his sound, instead, he's doubling down. While playing at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado Monday night, Zach skipped the 90s and went all the way back to the early 80s. His cover of the Pointer Sisters 1981 pop hit "Slow Hand" (which Conway Twitty took to number one on the country charts a year later) proves his love of classic country isn't just confined to the 90s, and judging by the audience reaction, neither is theirs. Check out Zach Top's live performance of "Slow Hand" below...
