In case you missed it...

Unfortunate news from country music Hall of Famers the Oak Ridge BoysRichard Sterban, the legendary bass singer for the band, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Sterban, whose voice has been an integral part of the band since 1972, said in a statement yesterday, "In March of this year, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. But I am under the care of the best cancer doctors in the country and, with the help of the Good Lord above, I believe I will be able to get through this. I want to thank everyone, especially the fans, for your concern, and I would appreciate your continued prayers. Most days I’m feeling very good, and I hope to be back out on the road in several months." Sterban's voice is iconic both in country music and in pop music as well: his "papa-oom-mow-mow" was heard all over Top 40 radio in 1981 when "Elvira" became a surprise Top Five pop smash.

Raul Malo's ongoing cancer battle has taken a turn, enough so that the singer and his band the Mavericks are cancelling all their scheduled shows going forward. In a lengthy Instagram post, he said "I want to update you all on my health, as things have taken a turn. As it goes with cancer, it’s a very unpredictable and indiscriminatory disease. I’ve developed something called LMD, which stands for 'get this [ ] out of my head.' Treatment for this is radiation, which I will start tomorrow. We will probably jump into some chemo, and are even looking at alternative therapies. But it’s time to take your words to heart of resting & recovering, so that’s what I’m going to do. Unfortunately, this does mean all shows going forward are canceled." Malo revealed his diagnosis last summer, and has already undergone surgery on his liver and colon. See Malo's post below...

Megan Moroney's breakout hit was "Tennessee Orange," telling the story of wearing her significant others' Tennessee Vols gear despite she and her family being devout Georgia Bulldogs fans. There are rumors that the singer may have traded in her Tennessee orange for San Francisco scarlet and gold. Moroney spent part of a recent weekend in California, where she headlined a show in Lake Tahoe...but it's where she went when she wasn't performing that caught fans' attention. In a carousel of pics from that weekend, most of them of her performance, there were a couple that had her in a suite at Levi's Stadium with a ballgame in the background, showing off a San Francisco 49ers jersey with her last name and the number nine on the back. Internet sleuths seem to think that because Moroney and 49'ers standout Nick Bosa follow each other on Instagram, there may be a little something going on there between the two. That's not a lot to go on, but fans look for any excuse. Check her pic collage below...
