Ashley McBryde is embarking on her own mini-residency, but you won't have to travel to Vegas for it. The singer announced yesterday that she's doing a four-show run in Nashville, at Eric Church's "Chief's" bar downtown. She'll take the stage in Church's "Neon Steeple"; she's titled her upcoming shows the "Redemption Residency." In a statement, McBryde said, "The guys and I are so happy to be back in Nashville for four nights of ‘you had to be there’ moments to help close out this year. We’ve been making our kind of church wherever we go for years; from dive bars to back porches, Dahlonega to Lindeville. It’s something special to bring it all to the only Steeple on Lower Broadway." Tickets went on pre-sale exclusively to McBryde’s Fan Club (Trybe) members yesterday. Members of the Church Choir have access today, with general on sale following on Friday. Mark your calendar; the shows take place October 14th and 15th, and December 11th and 12th.
Speaking of Ashley McBryde, she's opening a "first-of-its-kind" bar among the stretch of honky tonks on Lower Broadway in Nashville. On Friday, the singer announced the opening of a bar called Redemption. The business is inspired by McBryde's personal path to sobriety. It will offer a stage for rising singer-songwriters and feature zero-proof cocktails in its space on the 5th floor of Eric Church's six-story bar and entertainment venue, Chiefs. Redemption opens on August 28th.
