In case you missed it...
It's a sobering fact that as Willie Nelson leaves his 90th birthday in his rearview, every show, every concert, becomes that much more valuable for his fans. Fortunately, Willie's feeling pretty good these days. Less fortunate: fans who were planning on attending his "Outlaw Music Festival" 10th anniversary show on Tuesday were disappointed. After weather tore through the area and damaged much of the equipment needed for the production, Willie had to cancel Tuesday night's show in El Reno, Oklahoma. On Instagram, he informed his fans, "Unfortunately, much of the Outlaw Music Festival’s equipment and artists’ instruments were damaged and waterlogged, making their condition difficult to assess in time to accurately and safely use for tomorrow’s show." And for those worried about his iconic guitar, a rep said, "Trigger is safe."
Toby Keith's mark on country music will never be erased. Even though the Big Dawg Daddy has been gone for over a year, his music carries on. Apple Music has teamed up with several of today's country stars to cover some of Toby's biggest hits. The streaming service got Ashley McBryde, Tucker Wetmore, Megan Moroney, Ella Langley, Riley Green and Parker McCollum to record their own versions of some of Toby's most well-known songs. All six songs can be heard here. See the track list for the collection below.
