The first look at Andy Serkis’ animated take on George Orwell’s “Animal Farm" was shared at the Annecy Animation Festival. In the exclusive clip, we meet Seth Rogen as the pig Napoleon and Gaten Matarazzo as the pig Lucky catching up after the animal rebellion. Serkis calls it a “cinematic storybook” and says, “I didn’t want pantomime performances. I wanted internalized emotion, each close-up had to carry weight.” The film doesn’t hold back on the darker undertones either…Serkis describes it as “‘Wolf of Wall Street’ meets ‘Bronx Tale,’ through the eyes of a pig.” Big names like Woody Harrelson, Glenn Close, and Steve Buscemi and more round out the star-studded voice cast, and includes Serkis’ voice talent too.
