As we draw closer to the 60th ACM Awards tonight, another award was given out early, and another in-concert announcement was made. We told you that last week Ella Langley was surprised by a mid-concert video from Miranda Lambert informing her she won the award for best new female artist; that kind of reveal is becoming old hat for the singer, as she got another video announcement while performing this week. She and Riley Green were on stage together to perform "You Look Like You Love Me," when ACM host Reba McEntire appeared on the big screen behind them. "Sorry to interrupt, but I have some big news. ‘You Look Like You Love Me’ has won the ACM for Visual Media of the Year. Congratulations to Ella and Riley!" The awards goes to both Ella and Riley, as well as the video's directors, Wales Toney and John Park...and Ella Langley, so that counts as a double-win for Langley. Check out the video below...
Several stars will pay tribute to 60 years of country music during this year's Academy of Country Music Awards. The show will kick off with a twelve-minute "Songs of the Decades" performance featuring Clint Black, Dan and Shay, Wynona Judd, Reba McEntire, Leanne Rimes, and Sugarland. McEntire is returning to host the show for the 18th time.
Keith Urban is set to be honored tonight at the 60th Annual ACM Awards. He'll become part of an exclusive club, recipients of the ACM "Triple Crown" award. It's not an easy thing to win: an artist must win New Artist of the Year, the Entertainer of the Year, and the Artist of the Year (not all in the same year). There are just 11 artists in this exclusive club: Merle Haggard, Mickey Gilley, Barbara Mandrell, Brooks & Dunn, The Chicks, Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton and Lainey Wilson. Urban makes 12; Luke Combs would make it 13 this week if he were to win the Entertainer of the Year Award. The ACM Awards airs live tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on Prime Video.
