Zach Cregger, the mind behind “Barbarian,” is back with a new horror flick, “Weapons,” and the first trailer just dropped. Josh Brolin leads the cast alongside Julia Garner and Alden Ehrenreich in a creepy story about a class of kids who vanish overnight in a small Florida town. Cregger, who got his start with viral sketch comedy group Whitest Kids U’Know, told “Variety” about his jump from comedy to horror saying, “I don’t think horror and comedy are too dissimilar... it’s all about timing and tone and zigging when the audience expects you to zag.” He also got some solid advice from fellow sketch comic to horror icon Jordan Peele revealing “He gave me a crash course on how to handle the inevitable challenges.” “Weapons” is set to creep into theaters August 8th.
