A new biopic about the life and career of Randy Travis is in the works, and set to portray the legend is someone who knows what a country star's lifestyle is about. "Forever and Ever, Amen" will feature Clay Walker as Travis in middle age, with a search actively under way for two other actors to play the singer as a child and in his 20s-30s. The announcement was made by Walker (accompanied by Travis) from the stage at the Grand Ole Opry Wednesday night. See announcement below...
Scotty McCreery has always been a George Strait fan, so much so that one of his biggest hits ("Damn Strait") is basically name-checking King George's discography. It seems like he's passing that love of the country legend along to his son Avery. Avery is 2-and-a-half, and he's already got a working knowledge of Strait's biggest hits. McCreery posted a video on his socials yesterday that caught his son singing Strait's 1985 classic, "The Chair." Not only could he sing it, he knew who was responsible for the iconic song. "Who sings that song?" Scotty asks, and young Avery buzzes in with the correct answer: "George Strait!" Now that's good parenting. Check out the cute video below...
