In case you missed it...
The Zac Brown Band has big plans for Independence Day weekend. NASCAR announced yesterday that ZBB will headline the NASCAR Chicago Street Race this summer. The band will perform at the new Busch Light Summer Series Stage next to the Chicago Street Race Start/Finish line, following the NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Saturday, July 5th. The good news for people who are both NASCAR fans and Zac Brown fans, all tickets to the NASCAR Chicago Street Race include access to the weekend's concerts, and fans with Sunday-only tickets will also be able to access the Saturday Zac Brown Band headlining concert. See the band's website for ticket info.
Nashville is getting its very own rodeo, so naturally if you're looking for music acts to play it, you get the biggest. On May 29, the Music City’s first Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association event will kick off. The Music City Rodeo will not only feature three days of straight-up rodeo awesomeness, but the musical performers are exactly the level you'd expect from a hometown event. Your headliners for the inaugural Music City Rodeo: Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw and Jelly Roll. Reba, of course, has a rodeo background, and said in a statement, "It’s no secret that rodeo is in my blood, and I’m thrilled to be a part of starting a new Nashville tradition. Country music and rodeo coming together in Music City, what a perfect combination…I just knew I had to be part of it." Tickets go on sale Friday at 10:00am Central.
