A 19-year-old woman from the UK is allergic to almost everything, and that’s no exaggeration. Chloe Ramsay says her allergies first showed up when she was a baby, saying she would turn blue and pass out if she had potatoes or bananas. Now, her allergies have expanded to include strawberries, kiwis, scented shampoos and body washes…and regular, plain water. The things that cause her to have a reaction are continuously changing as she grows older, and she’s now been diagnosed with aquagenic urticaria, which makes it feel “like ants crawling on your skin” when she comes into contact with water. The good news is that doctors give her an injection twice a month to help her skin tolerate water. The bad news is that she’ll most likely be on it for life.
