When country music hands out awards at next week's CMAs, King George Strait will be on hand to receive a singular honor. George will be the 2024 recipient of the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award. In a statement, CMA CEO Sarah Trahern said, "There have been few other artists as authentically Texas and authentically Country as George Strait, and country music fans all over the world have been better for it. As a three-time CMA Entertainer of the Year and the most nominated artist of all time, he serves as an inspiration and icon to many of the great, new artists we know today. I am thrilled we are awarding him with this deserving honor." The award was introduced in 2012, with Willie himself being the first artist so honored. The award is given to "an iconic artist who has attained the highest degree of recognition in country music." The CMA awards air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena next Wednesday, November 20 on ABC, streaming the next day on Hulu.
Hardy's about to be a dad, but now we know he's going to be a girl dad! He and wife Caleigh posted a gender reveal post on Instagram, with the couple painting what will be their newborn's nursery...and they're painting it pink! If the message was unclear, the final pic in the carousel had the word "Girl" with a heart painted on the white, soon-to-be-pink wall. The couple have been married for two years, with the announcement of their first child coming last month.
