Man Writes Own Tongue-In-Cheek Obit

An Indiana man wrote his own obituary and listed off every brush with death… and there were many. Gary Wolfelt started the obit with “Hello. I am Gary. I am completely dead now. I am surprised that it took this long to happen.” Among the close calls were a baseball to the head, a horse kick, a building falling down around him, and a few high falls. At the end of the writing, Wolfelt’s wife of 40-years, Esther, chimes in to share memorial info and that Gary had taken to flying and took 17 years building a plane. Unfortunately, he died last week crashing it. See the obit here.
