Info From Music Row 05/20/2025

In case you missed it...

In case anyone was wondering if Morgan Wallen could reach the epic heights that came with his blockbuster "One Thing At A Time" album, the early returns seem to indicate he may actually out-do himself with "I'm the Problem. The album came out Friday, and within twelve hours, was already the most-streamed country album of 2025 on Spotify. The next day, Apple Music announced that the album had broken the record for biggest country album of 2025 by first-day streams worldwide on the streaming service. Not a bad start.

Country parody legend Ray Stevens is coming out of retirement. The 86-year-old Stevens announced late last year he was calling it a career...but he's summoned his inner Tom Brady and announced he was suiting up to once again perform for the fans. With a new album, "Say Whut?" coming out in March, Ray will be performing songs from that album and the rest of his decades-long career. It's a residency of sorts, at Stevens' CabaRay Showroom in Nashville, with the singer performing about a show a week in the limited run. Visit the CabaRay website for dates and tickets.
