Man Who Urinated On Cancer Memorial For Nine-Year-Old Fired By His Father

A 23-year-old New Jersey man who has been accused of urinating on a memorial for a nine-year-old cancer victim was fired by his father from his family's plumbing business. When Bryan Bellace was filmed at a playground in May's Landing relieving himself on the memorial for Christian Clopp, who passed away in 2012 from an inoperable brain tumor, he was wearing a shirt with the logo of his family's company, Bruce Bellace Plumbing and Heating.

Bryan's father, Bruce, learned of what happened after people contacted his wife on Facebook. He told the Press of Atlantic City that he was disappointed in his son's actions and knew he had to fire him after he started receiving numerous calls about what happened.

"I had to remove him from employment," Bruce said. "We apologized to the family...I'm sorry for his actions. I'm not proud of him."

Bryan was arrested following the incident and charged with lewdness, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, and having an open alcoholic beverage in a park. He apologized for his behavior, telling ABC News that he was drunk and had no recollection of what happened.

"It was a big mistake I made. I was intoxicated. I didn't know what I was doing at the time," Bellace said. "When I came to my senses the next day, I realized I made a huge mistake. I wish I could take it all back and make things right."
