Miranda Lambert is the leading country nominee for the 65th GRAMMY Awards. Lambert received four nominations during yesterday’s live stream by the Recording Academy, Maren Morris and Luke Combs has three each, and Ashley McBryde has two. Taylor Swift didn’t get the number of nominations many expected her to receive, with only one nod in a country category; “I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor’s Version)” received a nom in the Best Country Song category. Willie Nelson received four nominations overall, including three nods in country categories plus a nom in the Best Roots Gospel category. The 65th GRAMMY Awards are set to air on CBS Sunday at 8 pm ET.

Shania Twain revealed in a recent interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe that Prince once asked her to collaborate on a project inspired by Fleetwood Mac's album "Rumours". He made the request just after Twain got divorced from her ex-husband, and wanted her to come to Paisley Park. But she just wasn’t ready for that big of a leap. “I hadn't found my voice yet. I was still working on it. I was so far from finding it, still. I was writing, but I was too insecure to get with Prince in the studio. I was too insecure in every way,” Twain shares in her interview. One smaller reason she couldn’t work with Prince? He wouldn’t let her swear in his studio! As Twain tells it, she couldn’t “get through writing and recording an album without swearing”, and feared Prince would make her stand in a corner as punishment. The pair never got the chance to work together before Prince passed away.
Reba McEntire was asked about who could replace Blake Shelton on "The Voice,” and she revealed that originally she was offered a role on the show in 2011! McEntire declined at the time because she felt that the show wasn't a good fit for her and she's not committed to staying in one place for so long. "I got [a look at] the Holland version of ’The Voice’. They sent it to me and I said, 'I can't see me doing that,’” Reba tells Cassie DiLaura of "Entertainment Tonight." But despite her own first pass, she gives it up for Shelton and his long tenure on the show. McEntire thinks that filling Shelton’s shoes is going to be tough, which she knows first hand as she served as a mentor to Team Blake in the past. In the meantime, the two country superstars may just focus on their new rivalry - Shelton’s “Ol Red” bar is only 45 minutes down the road from McEntire’s brand new restaurant.
