Luke Bryan revealed he teamed up with Luke Combs on a collaboration featured on his upcoming ninth studio record.
Bryan has been hinting at his mystery duet partner before the announcement on Wednesday (September 2). He said working with Combs has “been a long time coming, and I’m so happy to announce that I finally got in the studio with the one and only…” The clip cut off, and he teased in another one, “I’ve been buddies with this guy for a long time, and I knew someday we would get together and do something pretty special.
“I’ve always wanted to get him [Combs] on a song,” Bryan said in a statement. “Obviously, he’s an amazing singer, and we’ve become buddies over the years. I’ve always wanted a Luke & Luke moment. The first time I heard this song, I was in the middle of recording in the studio, and my manager played me the song. It hit me like a ton of bricks from the moment I heard it, and I recorded it on the fly. I want to thank the writers, Beau Bailey and Jimi Bell, and Sam Ellis, for never giving up on this song and for making sure it got to me. When Luke (Combs) heard it, he called me right back and said, ‘let’s do this thing.’”

The 12-track project will follow Mind Of A Country Boy (2024), Born Here Live Here Die Here Deluxe (2021), Born Here Life Here Die Here (2020), What Makes You Country (2017), Kill The Lights (2015), Crash My Party (2013), Tailgates & Tanlines (2011), Doin’ My Thing (2009) and I’ll Stay Me (2007). Bryan’s new album will arrive as he continues his “Word On The Street Tour,” his “Farm Tour,” and co-headlining dates with Jason Aldean. Scroll below to see his list of upcoming performance dates.
“This record is a little bit of everything that shaped me,” Bryan said in the Signs album trailer. “It’s heartbreak and healing, backroads and barstools. It’s the signs you miss and the ones you can’t ignore. It’s the nights that went wrong and the ones you wish you could live again. It’s where I come from, the woods, the fields, the people, and how love, loss, and time have a way of straightening you out or crooking your rows of corn for good. These are my signs.”
Signs will make its debut on September 18.
