Kwame Kilpatrick, Former Mayor of Detroit, Asks President Trump For Pardon

Disgraced former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick is reaching out to President Trump from behind bars in a federal prison in Philadelphia.  In a blog post on the "Free Kwame Project" website, Kilpatrick writes he's praying the President issues him a pardon.  He is five and a half years into a 28-year sentence for corruption, and isn't due to be paroled until August 2037.  In the blog, Kilpatrick says he's been "punished severely," including being "chained like a wild animal, shackled around my ankles, waist and wrist."
