Matt Lauer is sticking around over at the Today show – at least for another two years.

NBC announced that it has extended the longtime anchor’s contract, which was set to expire in a few months, for more than two years.

“I consider this the best job in broadcasting,” Matt says in a statement. “I love the people I work with every day and I have such respect and gratitude for the people I work for. I couldn’t be happier to be staying.”

The morning show has been doing much better in the ratings lately, and the NBC News president doesn’t want to rock the boat by letting him walk.

The salary figures of his contract haven't been released.
