Florida Georgia Line will take the plate at the inaugural Kids’ Choice Sports Awards.

The country duo is so far the only announced performers for the first-ever Nickelodeon event, which airs Thursday, July 17 at 8/7c.

FGL’s newest gig isn’t coming out of left field either.

“Both of us grew up playing sports,” Tyler Hubbard tells Us Weekly, “and to be a part of celebrating kids’ favorite players is awesome!”

Adds Brian Kelley, “I played baseball up through college, and my coaches, teammates and pro-players were some of the most-influential role models in my life.”

The performance at the Kids’ Choice Sports Awards is the latest special appearance for Florida-Georgia Line. The two just took the stage for a performance at the recent Miss USA pageant in Louisiana.

The boys release their new single, “Dirt,” from their sophomore album on July 8.
